My christmas Villages
I made these villages now two years ago and I still get excited about putting them out. I made them out of birdhouses that you can buy from Micheals. There is alot of detail on each of the villages. I shingled each roof with popsical sticks. On santas house and the blue house I added siding onto the houses that I got from a hobbie shop. On the church and the school house I bought these stucco mixes that came with stencels that I could put on the the villages to make the stone and brick look. I added doors to the blue house, school and gingerbread house. I also had my husband cut out holes in the back of each village so that I could add light. I spent many many hours to create these but it was well worth it as I will have them for years to come and hopefully to be kept as a heirloom one day.

Baby shower card
I had two baby showers to shop for, and both were having girls. I was inspired with one of them because the colors that were chosen for the babys crib set was this cute pink and brown bedding. I Loved it! I love the colors anyway and wanted to make a card with using them. I used my new cricut cartridge called "Storybook"for the monogram letter and scallop. I am really lovin' this cartridge!!!

I'm published!!!
I am so excited to share this as I have been waiting for 6 months for papercrafts special issue to come out. I submitted my very first project to papercrafts magazine and it was excepted in Febuary. I was completely suprised as I just decided to submit my work on a whim and wasn't expecting for them to actually except it for publication. Well here and on stands starting August 12th!

Thank you card and Memory box
Alright, hopefully this project has been worth the wait! I have been such a slacker on posting...I know! So while my husband was in pharmacy school his parents AKA my parents because we don't differentiate between inlaws, let us live with them to save money. We are so grateful they put up with us through these years! I made this memory box aka explosion box that contains pictures of my kids with Grandma and Grandpa and special memories they shared while living with them. you can't see the bottom layer which is ok because I have not finished it yet, but it will contain pictures of the graduation to complete the memories of living with them. I gave this to them on graduation. I also made them a thank you card that expressed our graditude to them. The card size measures 5x5 and the stamp sets used were "Baroque Motifs" and "Always" by stampin up.

Thank you card
This card was made for my husbands boss as it was going to be my husbands last day of interning . Graduation is in two weeks! Yes I am counting! This card was so much fun to make. This was a fun color combo to use. I used my new cuttlebug embossing plate "birds and swirls" that I ordered online because you can't find it in any store yet. I embossed it on blue cardstock and than sanded it to add extra detail. I used the "Always" stamp set from stampin up (bird and plants) and the" Lots of thoughts" set from stampin up (many thanks).

Graduation Announcement
It's done. Finnally! This has probably been the most exciting and tedious project I have done so far! Exciting because my husband is graduating from pharmacy school. Yea! Tedious because I had to make 45 of these announcements! Now for the details. The white cardstock measurement is 5"x11" scored at 3" and than at 8" The blue inside mat measures 5"x9" and is scored at 4" The inside mat with the info is 4 1/4" X 4 1/4" The seal with the school logo on it was printed on vellum and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. Very cool technique! The tie on the outside of the announcement was also embossed and I used the linen backround stamp from stampin up (hard to see the details on this picture). The pocket measures 1 3/4"x 2 1/4" scored each edge at 1/4".

Birthday gift set
This was a fun one to make. I made this for my friend Marin who's as crazy crafty as I am. I made this for her birthday with her favorite candy bars which inspired my color scheme. The candy box measurements are 1 3/4''x 5'' I posted the template for this box with different measurements in a previous post. Inside the gift envelope is a scallop nestabilities set. I took a 12x12 piece of card stock and folded it in thirds and embellished the outside. The stamp set used for the candy box is a stampin up set call "Lots of thoughts" and the "for you" stamp is from an acrylic set from Joanns.

Another birthday card
Ok so this seems to be the only cards that I am making these days. I think I made about 24 this week using four different designs. I sold about 12 of them and the others I will be giving as gifts. The goal of this one was to make it more boyish and not so cutesy. I used the birthday whimsy set again (lovin' it!) and the "celebrate" word stamp was a micheals $ stamp.

Birthday card sketch challenge
I decided to try something different this time. So I took on a sketch challenge by Beate I have never done this color combo before but I think it turned out alright. Had fun with this one. The stamp set used for this was "Birthday Whimsy" by stampin up and I used the cuttlebug for the backround. The card size is 5x5.

Transformer party invite and favor
My son who is turning 6 really wanted a transformer b-day party, so I had to figure out a design for it. I looked everywhere online for some kind of transformer stamp and of course I couldn't find one! I ended up having to make my own. I stamped the image with versamark and heat embossed it with silver embossing powder. The scratches on the inside of the card and on the box is stamped with the "sanded" backround stamp from stampin up. I just got it and it is quickly becomming one of my favorites! The favor is a 2 1/2" square box designed after the allspark cube. If you have seen the Transformers movie than you know what I am talking about. I will probably fill them with candy and have the kids go on a treasure hunt to find them(maybe).

Mothers Day Card
For my card group this month we decided to make mothers day cards. As you can tell I just can't get enough of using transparency sheets. I have been dying to make a card out of it. The butterflies are stamped with white craft ink on vellum and than embossed. I got the butterfly stamp from Joanns $ section. The "Cherish" and flourish stamp is from the Baroque Motifs set from Stampin up. The"Happy Mothers day" is also stampin up but it was borrowed so I'm not sure what set it belongs to.

Baby Shower Invite
My friend is throwing a baby shower and wanted to do a pink and yellow ducky theme. What a fun theme! I was glad because I had this duck stamp that I bought at walmart over a year ago and had never used it. So I was very happy to put it to use. The "your invited" stamp was an acrylic stamp set from Micheals $1 stamp section. We are making favors to match the card. I will post that later.

Easter basket
I made this basket for my card group ladies. I had this idea in my head and was hoping it would work out. I love it when things turn out exactly how I invisioned. Well almost, my original basket had a paper strap. I definantly like the ribbon better. Isn't this bunny soooo cute? The stamp set I used is "Bunny Hugs" from Stampin up. I got it last spring in their mini catalog and glad that I did because they don't sell this set anymore. The size of this basket is 2 1/2" square. I used my cricut machine to cut out the grass and flowers.

Card kit
My neighbor expressed to me one day that she was seriously interested in learning how to make cards. The problem is that she is extremely busy and hard to pin down. Perfect solution? Make a card kit for her birthday! In this kit for her I have two designs and 4 cards she can make. Everything is stamped and cut. I also included pictures of the finished cards in the kit. All she will have to do is glue it all to the card. She loved it. It was one of those gifts that I was really excited to give and it cost me nothing! (but time) I love it when that happens! The stamp set used for these cards was "Eat Cake" from stampin up.

Birthday card
This card was made using my favorite color combination, blue and brown. The stamp set used for this card was "Eat cake" from stampin up. It doesn't show up very well in the picture but the candles are glittered. I have had these small bottles of glue glitter that have been just sitting in my craft drawers forever. I have no idea why I originally bought them but I'm glad that I was able to find purpose for them again. The card size is 5x5

Birthday Set
I made this card and chocolate box set for my mom. She loves the color purple and green so I decided to take on the challenge of using that color combination. I was very pleased with the outcome, as was my mom. She told me that she opened the chocolates very carefully so that she could save the wrappers! Most of the cake on the card was cut out with my cricut. The icing was hand cut and dry embossed. The card size is 5x5.

Happy Valentines day
I had this card that I had started working on over a week ago. One of those projects you set down and remember to finish sometime later (I have lots of those). Well I was happy that I did because I really wanted to post this one in time for Valentines day. A friend of mine had a cuttlebug embossing machine that I used for the white backround of this card. Had so much fun with the machine that I ended up buying one as an early b-day present for me. My b-day is next month, so I could justify it. Plus it was on sale!

Valentine treats
Here is the second project I have been working on. I saw these fun dip packets for Valentines and of course bought them with an idea in mind of what I was going to do with them. These are the valentines that my kids get to pass out for their classes. On the front of the heart is a monogram letter for each kids name. Its so nice to have the Cricut machine!(letters and hearts were cut with it.) Inside is a fun dip packet and valentine card. Here is also the template I made up for it.

I am very excited to start my new blog and even more excited to share my passion for scrapbooking, papercrafting, and anything to do with creating art in some form. So seeing how Valentines is almost here I will be sharing a couple of projects I have been working on for that. This 1st project are chocolate boxes made with hershey treasure nuggets. If anyone is interested in the template to make the chocolate box let me know. I used acetate paper for the cover and stamped paper covers for the chocolate nuggets with the polka dot backround stamp from stampin up. They were very fun and fairly easy to make. They make perfect gifts for teachers.
