Back to school

It is finally time! School is back in! Ok its all bittersweet. I know I am crazy but I actually  love all the preparation, fighting the crowds and finding all deals  for back to school shopping. Though having to drop a crap load of cash on clothes and school supplies is my least favorite! Definitely one of my most expensive months along with December! As much as I like having all my kids home, I do love having  the structure of a school routine, busy, busy, busy but GOOD! I seem to somehow  get more accomplished.
This weekend I also took my sister who is now a senior in high school shopping, than we did our nails  along with my little niece who is going into middle school! Crazy how these kids are growing up so fast!! My boys are now in 5th and 2nd grade!  I can't believe I  am gonna have a middle schooler next yr! I am starting to feel old!

My kid HATE pictures, but really they were exited for the 1st day of school.

Kind was going for the Ombre look using my chevron pattered image nail plate from the Monster Bundle set. Wished I would have taken a pic of my nieces nails. They were cute too!

Summer nails

My nails were so nasty and full of dirt after camp. I could not wait to redo them and feel girly again after looking like crap for a week! Was in the mood for something bright. Love adding touches of neon for the summer.

Patriotic nails

Having my kids home for summer break has its pro's and cons. I do like having  all this extra time I get  with them and I enjoy that  life slows down a little. Sometimes I just love to stand back and watch them when they are all playing together and getting along so well. It is these moments that make me so happy and remind me how much I love being a mom. I also love that we can make fun plans on the fly because we are not on a strict schedule. However there is also a lot more sibling  fights and I always having a messy house. I haven't gotten a lot of projects done lately so I was excited to do my nails and it got me way excited for the upcoming holiday. One of our favorites!

I am completely addicted to these nail plates!

Green nails for St. Patrick's day

I have been eyeing this green nail polish made by Revlon for some time. I don't usually ever spend more than $5 for nail polish so I used this green to compare to all other green nail polishes I came across. I kept coming back to this one. The perfect true green. Well it was $6 but well worth it.  Perfect for St. Patty's day but  I cannot wait to combine it with other fun colors too.

I am also obsessing over anything chevron print right now so I wanted to add a touch to my nails!

If you like this green polish too you can buy it pretty much anywhere. I know for sure that Walgreens and Smiths both have it.

I had these file folder sticker labels that I cut to make my template for my nails. Super simple!

Pink black and striped nails

I always have to have my toenails painted whether they are seen or not! It just makes me feel better. The fun thing about painting nails is there is no limit to what you can do! Any crazy color, bold design or print will look good on anyone and its just fun! So here is my Valentines inspired toes.

To make the stripes, I had to paint the whole nail black and  let that dry. I then I cut skinny strips of tape for the stripes and stuck it on my nail and then painted over the whole nail with white nail polish. When the white polish was dry I peeled off the tape. To make the heart I pored a little pink nail polish in a tray and dipped my ball point tool in it then dotted the heart on my nail. When my nails are dry I always put clear shinny coat so that all that work will look good for weeks!
